yarn

On February 7th 2013, as part of the AGO’s “1st Thursdays” evening series, the museum will be hosting a special event celebrating local, Toronto street artists. One of our staff members, Laura McPhie, is part of a small knitting group that has been asked to yarn-bomb the gallery. To complete the  “vine” envisioned dangling through the central stair case and the escaping tendrils descending over the banister edges, a cozy for the “A” of the AGO sign and other small projects throughout the gallery, they are calling out to the knit/crochet community for help. They are looking for yarn donations which can be dropped off at Artbarn School anytime during January. Or, if you wish to help by donating some knitting or crochet work check out their website for details! http://bissellbombers.wordpress.com
