Join Marina this winter to explore the art of portraiture, looking into both female and male faces. This series of classes offers you the chance to enhance your drawing skills, focus on sketching techniques and gain insights into the facial structure, proportions, planes, and three-dimensional aspects of portraits. Throughout the course, you’ll develop the ability to capture portraits from various perspectives and viewpoints. Your weekly drawing practice will inspire you to go deeper into the world of portraiture and encourage you to experiment with various techniques, which will lead you to discover your unique style. Beyond pencils, you’ll have the opportunity to explore drawing materials such as ink and charcoal.
These classes are beneficial for beginners as well as professional artists.

Marina Nazarova is a visual artist and illustrator based in Brazil & Toronto. She holds a BFA in Painting from Emily Carr University of Art and Design, Vancouver BC. The majority of Marina’s work revolves around people and spaces; as she draws her inspirations from everyday life and found images. In her paintings she uses oils, acrylics, and watercolour. She has worked with Artbarn School on the Eglinton Junior Public School Tangram mural project. She has also worked on murals for art fairs, commercial spaces and StreetARToronto projects.
