Steph Cloutier
Steph Cloutier is a francophone multidisciplinary artist in Toronto working in textiles, paper, and installation. Her practice explores themes of memory, reciprocity, and repair; utilizing hand embroidery, mending, dyes and paper making to create 2D and 3D artworks. She received her BFA with Distinction in Sculpture and Installation from OCAD University and has exhibited her work locally and nationally. She has been awarded residencies in Toronto, Canada and Naples, Italy. Currently, her body of work looks at her fascination with patterns and textures found in urban landscapes, both real and imaginary. Keen to explore materiality, her process work includes dyeing thread and paper, making her own inks and pigments, as well as making paper.
