Description

This workshop will introduce students to the unique properties of painting in wax. Encaustic has been used since the time of the Egyptians and lends itself well to collage. All materials will be supplied for two pieces on wood supports. Students are encouraged to bring in their own photographs to incorporate in their design (please print on regular thin paper).

Open to all levels, Beginners welcome.

Limited to 8 persons.

Linda McMaster – Founding Director

Linda (BFA, B.Ed., OCT) began her career as a graphic designer. Active in the local community, Linda McMaster was instrumental in the establishment of Studio 202 at Allenby Public School. She is also an experienced art educator having taught art at Fieldstone School to students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 for 6 years. Linda founded Artbarn School in 2005 with Mary Thelander and Frith Bail. She continues to teach at Artbarn and inspire a new generation of young artists.
