Description
This workshop will inspire participants to create non-objective acrylic paintings. The term will be discussed along with examples of female abstract artists such as Joan Mitchel, Helen Frankenthaler and others using this approach. Through the elements of design: (colour, shape, line and texture), participants will be encouraged to create artwork without reference to recognizable images. A series of fun exercises using pencils/marker, and acrylic paint on paper will encourage this direction of creation. An open mind and curiosity about the process are encouraged.
