Artbarn supplies the candy, chocolate bars, pens, paint and paper… everything you need! So, let’s take a playful approach to learning all about watercolour by creating bold colourful paintings. Loosen up and be expressive with this fun style. Everyone can do it! Nora will demonstrate the drawing painting approach, encourage your process and answer your questions. Also, she’ll advise you on what supplies to buy to get you going on your own watercolour adventure. You’ll have an array of chocolate bars and candy to choose from to create your still life. Feel free to bring a little store bought sweet of your own, to give your artwork a personal touch. NO PEANUT OR STRAWBERRY GOODS PLEASE.

Nora MacPhail – Watercolour
Nora MacPhail is a professional painter living in the awesome city of Toronto. Nora has been watercolour painting for over 25 years and teaching for 15 years. She draws with a strong gestural line, then adds lots (and lots) of colour. Nora’s paintings have a uniquely charming and humorous style. Active in the Toronto Art Community, she have been a member of the Toronto Watercolour Society, the Don Valley Art Club, and the Willowdale Group of Artists. Nora is currently the Plein-Air Organizer with the Beach Guild of Fine Arts. She has participated in many group art shows selling watercolour paintings, oil paintings and her popular cityscape bookmarks.
