Krista graduated from OCAD University in 2016 with a BFA majoring in Drawing & Painting and a minor in Printmaking. She has been involved with Artbarn for the past 5 years contributing to special painting workshops and working with school children on the John Fisher P.S. Dot Art Project and the Ocean Creatures mural at Oriole Park P.S. Krista also created a giant bird from recycled materials with the students at St. Clements Early Learning School. She enthusiastically instructs young artists in technique, while asking questions to promote deeper thought into the work being created.
In her current art practice, she explores the way abstraction collaborates with mindfulness to create dreamy, thoughtful landscapes bursting with colour. She works with a variety of media such as lithography, screen printing, acrylic painting and illustration.
Krista is fluent in ASL – American Sign Language.
