Description

In this course young artists will be inspired by past and contemporary artists. Students will enjoy an engaging and fun atmosphere as they are guided through structured lessons designed to cover essential techniques. Topics covered include: drawing basics, colour theory, landscape, & self portraits. We will experiment with various mediums such as acrylic, watercolour, & graphite.

Marika Kamaras-Garland (B.A. ECE)

Marika has a B.A. in Early Childhood Studies and is completing her M.A. in the same field at Ryerson University. She is an artist who works in various media including printmaking and watercolours. She loves sharing her passion for the visual arts with her students, and has been a teacher at Artbarn for four years teaching in various classroom settings with varied age groups. Her goal as a teacher is to encourage each student to explore their own creative narrative.
