This creative and relaxing full day workshop is a wonderful opportunity to explore figurative painting. Using both traditional and experimental techniques we will create a unique figurative or portrait painting in acrylic. Professional artist Marina Nazarova will do demonstrations and guide students through steps of tone and colour mixing, figure proportions and composition strategies.
During the class we will fully dive into the creative process while gathering concepts, searching for inspiration and making studies using collaging and sketching. Everyone will complete a larger painting to take home.
Some painting experience is recommended.
Bring your own acrylic painting materials, a support (canvas or wood) at least 12 x 16 inches and photo references. Marina will provide some images as well.
