Through the wonderful tactile medium of clay, children will learn hand-building and glazing skills to create wonderful lasting projects. Students will be guided through projects with an appropriate level of complexity. They will also learn about prepping the clay and be involved in maintaining the tools and materials. Students will take full ownership of the project, and get a glimpse into the life of an artist. Students who have enjoyed Arty Clay with Marika in the past are encouraged to sign up for an additional term. We work on new projects each term, with new floral motifs and glazing techniques planned for the spring term. Students will make at least 1 project a week, and they will come home with 7 or 8 projects at the end of the course.
Class Size is limited.
All materials and firings provided.
